REKISHI SERIES
EPISODE 3:
INTERVIEW
Continuing the series, we interview Morita-san, the master technician behind our famous Super Analogue Stylus. He's been manufacturing our top quality S.A.S. styli since their introduction in 1994 and is currently training the next generation of specalists.

INSIDE THE FACTORY

The next installment takes us on a playful romp through JICO headquarters. As a bubbling counterpuntal melody weaves its way through the production and assembly workshops, we get a first hand look at some the crafts-persons behind the process, as well as facilities used in the manufacture of our record styli.
The introductory melody is an excerpt from the chime used to denote the beginning of the work day, comissioned especially for our factory. The music deconstructs this short composition and recontextualizes over a bed of field recordings from the factory floor to capture the JICO esprit de corps.
EPISODE 1:
TRAVEL TO THE JICO FACTORY

The first installment of our series takes us from downtown Osaka deep into the Japanese countryside. Scenes of Umeda's crowded moring commute contrast with the serenity of ocean waves rolling into the tiny seaside port of Moroyose. As we depart the urban sprawl, traveling down the highway through the cradle of the country's industrial corridor, the landscape slowly gives way to lush green mountains and rice paddies before we arrive at the entrance to the JICO headquarters.
Through this transition you will see that we are not a huge multinational corporation, distributing mass-produced goods to every corner of the planet. This is still a small company dedicated to preserving our roots of quality craftsmanship and serving the global community of vinyl record enthusiasts.

We've put together this series of short videos to share with you a bit about our company, it's history, and the people who work to breath new life into your vintage phono cartridges through our line of replacement styli.
